Which Pattern are You Running in Your Business? Low Self Esteem vs. High Self Esteem

Low Self Esteem vs. High Self Esteem

A key to your success is greatly interconnected to the level of self esteem you hold of yourself. Self esteem is defined as a realistic respect for or favorable impression of oneself.

Why is this so important? Your self esteem is critical to your overall state and the feeling of certainty you have in any area of life. It is possible to have more certainty in one area than another. The key is to work towards improving your self esteem.

The good news is there is a pattern of those individuals that have low self esteem vs those who have a high self esteem. That means once you know the pattern it can be duplicated!

As you can imagine this is such an important skill set, especially if you have kids! The self esteem of kids during their childhood can set the tone for their adult life. Learning and putting into action, this pattern is really the foundation to your success!

The Pattern of Low Self Esteem is Comparing One’s Self to Another Person:

A person with low self esteem will continually compare themselves to others, typically people that are doing better than they are. This is ok to do occasionally to “check in” to see how you measure up, but when done in an incessant pattern, it will usually lead to the feeling of “I am inadequate, I do not measure up, why is everyone better than me…” therefore resulting in feeling like crap (that is a technical term) and the end result is low self esteem.

The Pattern of High Self Esteem is a Self to Self Comparison!

A person with high self esteem will frequently evaluate their progress. This person will compare their results on their improvement this month or week to the progress from last week or last month and notice the incremental steps forward (that last part is key because that is what results in the outcome of feeling; I am making progress (ideally).

Now, there is a very specific language pattern to make sure your brain is searching for improvement, vs. what was missing or not working. That is what most people do that do not have results. Their brain is focused on what is not working, what is missing and they wonder why they only get more of that! The law of attraction at work. Obviously it makes sense to evaluate what is not working, but quickly move to a solution or focus on the outcome.

The secret pattern that you will want to implement on a weekly basis is:

The Progress Stack

The idea is to stack small chunks of progress one on top of another and it will change your state and focus very quickly.  The key is to spotlight any little piece of progress towards your outcome.

This is the language pattern:

“Since_________ (yesterday, last week…), I ________________ (your progress).”

Example: Since last week, I organized my desk, since yesterday, I set a plan for the week, since Tuesday, I focused on my outcome each day….

This stack will send your brain into a positive direction. The key is to teach your brain to search for a small piece of progress.  Focus on a microchunk of progress on a weekly basis and you will notice your self esteem and confidence improving dramatically! This renewed feeling of certainty will help improve your business, your relationship and the overall quality of your life!!
